Nestled in it’s second floor location right around the corner from AT&T Park, Alchemist fills a necessary void as a hip, quasi-dive bar with class in a neighborhood that’s heavily dominated by sports bars. Under the leadership of a talented, humble and passionate crew, Alchemist will offer a balance of top-notch craft cocktail bar, neighborhood watering hole, industry hangout, and incubator for emerging bar stars. One of my favorite bars in SOMA neighborhood that has an awesome happy hour, interesting interior décor, and creative cocktails. Perfect spot to meet up with friends or grab a drink before a ball game. GooglePlace - May 2017

Delicious cocktails made right in front of you. Great bartenders who know what to do and make yummy things. Lots of great ingredients. Definitely a great find. Fun decor and wasn't crazy busy GooglePlace - May 2017

Great atmosphere and place to grab a drink prior to hitting up a game at AT&T Park. Not as crowded as some of the other spots by the park, but still has great happy hour specials to choose from. GooglePlace - April 2017

Alchemist is a hidden spot, located on the second floor close to the Caltrain station. I love the vibe, as it's not too trendy, but still cute and cozy. The candles, wooden tables and chairs, and communal sofas make for socializing, and the staff are excellent and attentive. The place is pretty packed and the happy hour is awesome. Service seems improved but I did note that there is a big difference from the servers. If you stay longer they bring in the ringers (better tenders) and things get better. Still under staffed but the view never stops giving. GooglePlace - March 2017
