Tips from the Net @ Applebee's

Taking the lift we were greeted straight away by a polite yet down to earth man who got us a great table with a view of the wharf at sunset. He apologised that there wasn't any better seeing available which while felt was genuine as there was literally nothing better available. We had a waitress over with a minute to get us a drink and explain how they worked. Our meals didn't take long to arrive, they were fresh and hot and just like we requested. Getting up to take photos the staff were happy to help and took a photo for us. They moved out of your way walking through the restaurant and made you feel that you were the priority - a small gesture that went a long way! Drinks were refilled as soon as they were emptied. My only gripe is that they kept using new cups and left the old ones on the table. Perhaps their way at hinting I need to diet?? Just use the same cup. I won't be offended!! Thanks for an above average experience!! Will be returning again for sure. GooglePlace - July 2017

Good location. Some food just found out were not freshly made. Food was not that good. Breaded shrimp was too salty. Chicken were blend. Love the outside seating overlooking the beautiful wharf. GooglePlace - July 2017

Came as a party of 14, and credit to the staff as they were able to seat all of us. Unfortunately, most aspects of there service was either inadequate or satisfactory at best. Mainly feel that this is down to the unwillingness of other members of staff to assist the chap who was deligated our table. Food was otherwise alright. If you're a British tourist, I would compare this to a Weatherspoons and would suggest that this is slightly nicer. At a pinch, would come back here, but honestly there are nicer places to eat around this area - especially if you are only in town for a few days as a tourist! GooglePlace - July 2017

Came here on a whim and I now have a reason to never come back! Service was good, wait staff was attentive but not very knowledgeable. Sure it's Thursday before a dinner rush so I'll excuse that. The "riblets" are horrific... Boiled to within an inch of flavourless and slathered with what tasted like watered down Bulls-Eye barbecue sauce. The fries seemed like they were reheated in the oven from lunch. My wife's pasta was not bad surprisingly though, maybe I just got a bad line cook. I'm usually not disappointed enough to put it into words, but AVOID this Applebee's. I doubt the rest of the chain is this bad, this is the location you might want to skip. GooglePlace - June 2017
