We happened upon the Barrel Head Brewhouse when in The City for a volleyball tournament. Looking for something close to USF and reasonably priced it was the most attractive lunch option. Perhaps it was the seductive allure of local craft beers. The ambiance was agreeably cool and our server was prompt and pleasant. To slake my thirst I opted for the "Butterfly Rock" IPA while my wife went for the "Clothes-off Pose-off" Kölsch. Both of us ordered the Barrel Beef Burger. The burger is "served medium rare" according to the menu so I went off-spec and requested medium well. The burgers and brews were both perfectly acceptable and satisfying if not shout-from-the-mountaintop remarkable. Likewise, our service met our expectations while the venue itself exuded the type of unique SF feel one might expect to find in this cosmopolitan burg. GooglePlace - August 2017

Food here was on point and the beer is fantastic. The atmosphere and theme of this restaurant is amazing, even the bathrooms were welcoming. I need to come here again and try their beer flights since they brew their own beer here. Highly recommend it this restaurant. GooglePlace - August 2017

Awesome selection of beer and great tasting beer that they have brewed on site. Would recommend ordering the flight du jour you get four 5oz samples of their own brewed beer. GooglePlace - August 2017
