The classic Belgian brasserie meets California sensibility at Belga. Inspired by mainstays of Belgian cuisine (equal parts Belgian, French, and German ingredients and dishes), Belga’s menu encompasses the variety of ingredients and staple dishes found from along the Belgian countryside to its seashore; Our interpretation of the Belgian brasserie means beer and cuisine are intertwined on the menu, yielding a collection of lighter fare and a sampling of heartier, comforting dishes (think wood-fired sausages, moules-frites, and beer-infused broths—all designed to be shared). In keeping with Belgian tradition, while incorporating Northern California's practice of local sourcing and working with the freshest of ingredients, a diverse selection of cheese and charcuterie, showcasing both Belgian favorites and California styles, are some of the many highlights found on Belga’s menu.

Pretty nice place, ideal for a lazy weekend brunch. Not too crowded when I went. Parking is a bit of a pain, there was a parking lot across from the street though. GooglePlace - December 2017

The chicken and falafel and zucchini flat bread were all great. The beer selection was good but not great. The service was good. GooglePlace - December 2017

Overall I cannot recommend Belga. The service, decor, and location are what I appreciate the most. Especially the service. Something behind the kitchen and bar is just not working. Oysters and Martini: Oysters had several small pieces of shell and were shucked poorly. The martini had a terrible mix ratio that had a poor aftertaste. Salmon Entree and Old Fashioned: The salmon dish was far better but simple. Over time the salmon felt saltier with each bite. Old Fashioned had far too much bitters and the rye tasted harsh. It kills me that the end bill was $63. The value is just not there but it could be. Avoid there are so many higher value restaurants and I hope the food catches up with the amazing service.
