Description

Located in a landmark building in SoMa, Bellota is a vibrant Spanish restaurant with an expansive take on the cuisines of Spain. Executive Chef Ryan McIlwraith brings his critically acclaimed approach to Spanish dishes, including a diverse menu of meats grilled on a wood-fired hearth, inventive paellas, Old World stews, fresh seafood, medium-sized tapas, imported charcuterie and cheeses, as well as slow-roasted vegetable dishes. A 30-seat full bar and lounge add to the convivial environment, where guests can enjoy live music, an all-Spanish wine list, sherry on tap, dry cider, and Spain’s cocktail of choice, gintonic. The airy, urban Mediterranean interior features California bay laurel tabletops, custom Costa Brava Blue-colored leather chairs and booths, Moorish light pendants and brass table-lamps, a private dining room for parties and events, and seating around the open kitchen with a custom hearth, the heart and soul of Bellota.

Wow. This is now one of my favorites. The atmosphere is really great. We had the potato with prosciutto dish, the broccoli dish and the shrimp. All were excellent, but the potato dish was our favorite. Cocktails were excellent as well. Go here. GooglePlace - December 2017

This is a great place to sit and enjoy a modern spanish meal. It's a nicer spot with high end menu and bar options. I would highly recommend it for a nice dinner out with that special person or even taking clients out if your in the area. Enjoy! GooglePlace - November 2017

Good but tiny ‘Tower’ plate of pulpo and stun, $12 each. Fiduea seafood squid ink risotto enough for 4 at $35 and broccoli rabe with labneh and sautéed onions tapas $15. Modern indistrusl and warm. Foursquare - November 2017
