Description

Bluxome Street Winery is bringing the California wine industry back to the city and back to its roots. 100 years ago, over one hundred wineries were flourishing in SOMA, or “South of the Slot,” as coined by Jack London. Bluxome Winery is located at 53 Bluxome Street, right smack in the middle of this storied part of town. This is an All-American winery and we’re proud of it. Our focus is on palate-friendly and ageworthy Pinot Noir and what we call the distinct Bluxome Sauvignon Blanc. All the fruit for our wines are sourced from cool climate regions within 100 miles of San Francisco, because those are what we believe produce the best, most captivating wines.

Beautiful space, delicious vino and welcoming staff ...all within SF proper. We love this place so much that we decided to host our wedding reception here. I think it was a good venue decision on our end since we love coming back to try Bluxome's new releases or have a glass or two of old favorites. This location has an industrial urban vibe with lofty ceilings and large glass pendant lighting against a backdrop of wine barrels. It's an ideal canvas to dress up or down which provided us with a lot of flexibility when planning the decor/theme for our event. Then again, isn't it obvious that we like this place? A great Pinot and the space is amazing. Their new tasting room at Ghiradelli Square is even better--worth the trouble, even for locals. GooglePlace - January 2016

Cool place with decent wines. They make the wines themselves from grapes they get from others (I think) but their tasting flights are great value and the place is a big open warehouse style for hanging out. GooglePlace - December 2015
