On October 18, 1980, brothers, Brandy, Jack and Sedgewick, realized their lifelong dream of starting their own family restaurant and opened their doors to the public. Being the eldest, Brandy took the leadership role and managed the business. From the open kitchen, Sedgewick’s culinary skills became the main attraction. Jack, the youngest, started as a server, but now can be found running the show.

Food ok, but not great and for my budget overpriced. Service ok. Go further into chinatown and eat where the chinese eat this was very touristy/american. Skip this restaurant. GooglePlace - December 2017

Brandy Ho's is a great restaurant if you follow a few, simple rules. 1 - Do not go when it is busy. Look for the times it is not busy and you will have a better experience. 2 - Most of their food is good, but not great. A few dishes are surpassing, but can be unpredictable in quality, so if you don't have a stellar experience, go again and give it a second shot. It will be worth it. 3 - Food quality - again, most are good, some are great. Recommended dishes are; Deep Fried Dumplings with garlic/ginger sauce, Kung Pao Chicken and finally Hot and Sour Beef. Food was okay, on par with other Chinatown digs. Portions lacking a bit. We were annoyed as multiple dishes contained ingredients like certain vegetables that the menu did not list so we had to send a couple things back. So memorable.. in a bad way. A guy sitting at the bar threw up a couple times on the floor. The people at the table behind us told the waiter. 5 mins later someone threw newspaper over the vomit, didn't say anything to the guy still sitting at the bar or clean it up. The smell was really bad. We paid and got out as quickly as we could. Obviously we're never coming back. GooglePlace - September 2017
