Description

The Brickhouse Cafe is a refreshing oasis from the hard lines and cold spaces of our urban surroundings. Owned and operated by Fred Reeves and Kim Kobasic, we began simply in 2001 with a mission to provide SoMa, South Beach & Mission Bay with quality, reasonably priced food, and a comfortable space to eat it in. We provide American comfort food with a San Francisco twist specializing in high quality, house roasted, house smoked meats, burgers and other entrées. We’re open 7 days a week with an early breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Our full bar boasts some bitchin’ boutique wine, locally brewed beers and fresh signature cocktails. HAPPY HOUR 3pm-7pm! Monday through Saturday

Love to go there to eat pancakes and french toasts at weekend's morning. Their pancake have tasty strawberry's preserve. But if you want to eat a big breakfast, it might not have a big one. French toast is pretty big. You can choose hamburgers (big one!) from morning too. Also their coffee is good. Staffs are friendly, and inside the restaurant is cozy. GooglePlace - September 2017

I've walked past Brickhouse many times, but it was only recently that I finally checked it out. I went here with a group of friends for a late brunch / lunch. It wasn't busy when we went, so there was no difficulty getting a table fir a group. And right off the bat, the server was already there shortly after sitting down; he was attentive and friendly, so I'm not really sure who the other Yelp reviewers were referring to since it couldn't have been him. The group of us shared two starters, garlic fries and onion rings lol. It's perhaps not my first choice as starters go, but they were big and greasy and delicious anyway. For my entree, I had the Brickhouse burger with the three cheese toppings, which was perfect for what I was craving this day. My friends had more "brunchy" type foods, opting for some egg entrees with some combination of the other stuff, and they all seemed more than satisfied with their choices. The place itself was interesting to check out. It's more of a "bar" than a restaurant, which I'm perfectly fine with, but just writing it here in case people were expecting something different. Overall, great food and friendly service. It also seems like a fun place to hang out when it's more bar-like, so I'll probably come by again sometime in the evening. GooglePlace - September 2017

Excellent burgers on the menu. I really like the modification options. A little strange that they forgot to give us napkins when we first ordered, but otherwise the staff was really diligent. Their beer selection is also pretty solid. Very nice turnaround time for such good food, along with attentive wait staff make this a great choice. GooglePlace - April 2017

Went to Brickhouse for Valentine's Dinner and have also been a few times before. We always go back when we're in the mood for comfort food! The burgers are wonderful and I've had the Lamb Meatloaf with green beans and butternut squash mashed potatoes twice now. Always perfect! The portions are solid and I usually have leftovers. Grab a milkshake too if you have room left! Friendly and attentive staff :) GooglePlace - February 2017

It would get 3.5 stars if I could: 1. The food- their food is good. I wouldn't say it's amazing, and most of it is incredibly unhealthy, so I try to go here for drinks only, but the food is good. I'm a fan of the breakfast sandwich and their rustic sourdough is super thick and buttery. 2. The drinks- their drinks are delicious. A good selection of cocktails plus typical drinks and beers. An enjoyable place for happy hour, though not good for groups bigger than 6 or so as their seating really only consists of a few booths and a couple tables. 3. The service - hit or miss. It's order at the counter, and I've had some days where that's absolutely fine, and others where I have to order my drink twice before it gets brought to the table. I like this place and it's fun for happy hour, but it's not my favorite in the area. GooglePlace - December 2016
