we come here every few years mainly just because we like the alley and because it brings back good memories (we celebrated with the French there during the 1998 world cup final!). the food has never been memorable, it's good, but not deserving of the prices or the French Cuisine label. there's not enough of the richness you associate with French food. the staff is super nice and the location is the biggest draw. i should add that Sam's Grill really ruined the atmosphere of Belden alley. Everything was excellent! One testament of any restaurant's service is whether they replace cutlery or slide it from your saucy plate to the table, and they're in the former camp :). The omelette parisienne was one of the best brunch dishes I've had! GooglePlace - July 2017

My favorite French restaurant in San Francisco. Small but excellent menu. European service. Reasonable prices. GooglePlace - July 2017

Unique cafe with street level, outdoor, and underground seating. Waiters were attentive. Bread was disappointingly bland. GooglePlace - July 2017
