I made a reservation for a King size bed a month before my conference. A few days before the reservation, I rec'd a confirmation for a queen sized bed. I sent an email advising of the error and when I arrived I was advised that only by paying an additional $40/night could I obtain a King size bed. At 6'4' a King is required. I advised on the mistake a check-in and check out but no satisfaction. Absent this I would have raved about the hotel. GooglePlace - August 2017

Quality place to stay. They are on the ball. You can be entertained walking around this historical hotel. There's an amazing story in the hall of pictures.....staff is attentive, fast responders, room service is really good especially for the cost. I'm impressed. It's too bad the fitness room is extra $....but whatever, no biggie. Walk a hill instead I guess. GooglePlace - July 2017

My husband and I stayed here for a medical conference for 3 days. It wasn't spectacular, it felt like a normal hotel stay and for the cost I felt like it wasn't worth it. It has a great location and walking access to shops. That being said the customer service is not great. On our last night there were patrons screaming in the hallway and my husband and I were woken up several times to obscenities being shouted near the elevator. We were staying in the Tower building and I expected a quieter stay. In the morning there were empty vodka and wine bottles next to the elevator. I mentioned it to the clerk during check out and she told me that next time I need to call security and asked if I would like my receipt emailed to me. I felt ignored and brushed off. Next time I will not stay here and I will not recommend my friends stay here. GooglePlace - July 2017

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on here and they had the cheapest rates around... enjoy this hotel. Nice classic quality in the entry and commons with more modern touch in the rooms. Guest rooms remind me of the bedroom in the final scenes of 2001, for some reason. Only complaint is water related. Showers in original part of hotel are low flow. Also, the faucet spout in the sink protrudes only about 2". I can barely get my hands under it to wash off the soap. I know, but it's a little pet peeve You get great exercise if you walk during the day. Even the easy ascent route of Nob Hill makes me feel the burn. And a pretty solid wine by the glass list. And the Tonga Room is awesome. GooglePlace - June 2017
