Description

The Gold Dust Lounge pours the Best & Cheapest $5 Irish Coffee in San Francisco at Fisherman’s Wharf. Located on Jefferson Street, across the way from Boudin and Alioto’s, it’s three times the size of the original location. That said, they did keep the motif as a whole, as well as details like the ceiling cherubs, Irish coffees and the signature marquee signage. Many have named this Irish Coffee the best in the world, beating out the entire country of Ireland itself. Although our signature is the Original San Francisco Bloody Mary, the Irish Coffee comes in a close second on our list of specialty drinks. Strong and hot, Our rendition of the Irish Coffee may rival that of the Buena Vista. Our $5 Irish Coffee price cannot be beat and has been voted the Best Deal in San Francisco. For Irish Coffee, the Gold Dust Lounge uses Lavazza coffee (so you know it’s good), a healthy pour of Irish whiskey, some brown sugar, and a topping of heavy cream. Bundle up outside and warm up over your coffee, or take a seat in the dimly lit bar area. But head in on a regular day and enjoy the sprawling bar, mellow attendees, and reasonably priced drinks. Thick, sweet cream combines with strong coffee and a kick of whiskey to satisfy an Irish Coffee craving. A slick, old west reminder of a time long since past. Founded in 1933, Gold Dust Lounge is definitely one of San Francisco's landmarks. The mural on the ceilings and the framed currency in the bar gives the lounge its unique flavor. Gold Dust Lounge caters to people who love to listen to live music and enjoy irish coffees which is featured almost nightly. Our New location is located at 165 Jefferson St. Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco - Call us today at (415) 397-1695 ...alas the Gold Dust Lounge will live on at its new address (165 Jefferson Street) at Fisherman's Wharf. Spent 2 evenings here recently with my Daughter. We had a great time! Awesome $6 drink specials and munchies. Loved the Karaoke so many people sang. Staff were nice, some a little slower than others. I would definitely go back 😀 GooglePlace - February 2018

Had a blast doing karaoke there. The drinks are good, they have good specials. I didn't have food, but it looked and smelled great. Fun place to spend an evening!! GooglePlace - January 2018

We love this bar. So chill We love the old time feel. Go on monday nights and sing along with the guy on the keyboard. Super fun. There's a female bartender at night who is awesome but don't let the manager make your drinks. He's clearly not a bartender. His drinks were awful. Real fun place to just kick back. 11/8/17 It's not surprising that the best clam chowder bread bowl I've had in a really long time, was out in SF this past Sunday following Snowbomb's Ski & Board Festival (just a few doors down at Pier 35). It is a little surprising to me that it was at a cool bar with live music and a dart lounge in the back. What the what?! Our group of 4 sat down twenty minutes before the kitchen was set to open, so we drooled over the menus glued down onto the tables longer than we wanted to, while sipping our drinks. Kitchen was out of the night's $1 oysters even before it opened, so that dream was squashed, but the shoestring French fries I ordered instead totally made up for this. So tiny and adorable and delicious. My boyfriend and I shared the clam chowder bread bowl and the bread won my heart with it's crunchy exterior and soft, flavorful insides. It ripped into pieces without making a crusty mess. The chowder filling was really great also but honestly the bread is what set it off! The bar itself was really awesome. Lots of comfy seating, and Nathan was a nice bartender. The band was killer!! Live music can be hit and miss but we enjoyed all their familiar tunes and well-played music. So much fun! Combination of the friends, food, and music turned this quick bar visit into an incredibly memorable night out! GooglePlace - November 2017
