Outstanding. Incredibly high quality service and surroundings, especially in downtown SF. The food is quite good, though some of the dishes are relatively standard fare. I had a lunch special which, at $38, is a bit expensive for SF, but was still worth the price. The drinks are very clever and well mixed (limited authentic Chinese options on that front). But the real point of the restaurant is to provide the high caliber luxury experience that establishments of this variety want to, and Hakkasan absolutely delivers on this front. A vegas-like atmosphere of fusion fine dining! Had no idea this was a restaurant until a few days ago, I always thought it was a hotel or office. Reservations are needed, and getting up the restaurant already feels a bit VIP. The lighting and textures are all stimulating and wonderful, almost feeling more like a nightclub than a restaurant at times. The music, which I really enjoyed, was at a dinner volume though :) All the food we had was really excellent, and the plating and finishing had style and flare! Expensive, but a really cool dining experience that to me felt unique to San Francisco. GooglePlace - December 2017

A great spot if you want to grab either a lunch or dinner. Once inside, you feel the warmth from the decor. Apart from that, staff does a wonderful job in communication with both guests and colleagues. Waiting time for the food can be less than 10 minutes which is extremely fast. Along with that comes great, and fresh food. Overall a great restaurant with logical price/quality ratio. GooglePlace - December 2017

This is a high end Chinese restaurant. The interior is fancy and nice. I enjoyed the fancy atmosphere and excellent, friendly waiters' services. The food was very good. There was only one person at the front, and we had to wait for about 10 min. to be seated. although we made a reservation. I give 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a bit expensive for me. With wine, it costs us over $150 per person. GooglePlace - November 2017

I have always loved this place, but I save it for special occasions. I have been numerous times but my favorite was when I went after my graduation. My parents were visiting from out of the country and I wanted to go to one of my favorite restaurants in the city. We made a reservation and so the table was ready as soon as we got there. The hostess was delightful and escorted us to our table. The ambiance of the restaurant is great you have two semi-enclosed seating areas and a bar in the middle of the room. We sat towards the right but both seating areas looked fine. We promptly ordered our food and it came out in no time. My favorite dishes here are the vegetable dumpling platter and the mushroom noodles. I may or may not dream about them sometime :P but that was not all we ordered we ordered a lot of food mainly because the helpings are quite small. for dessert, I love their macarons I would recommend this place for sure.
