Love this place!
It is a must visit every time I come to town. The spices are rich and well balanced and they actually make it spicy when you ask for spicy.

My entire household got food poisoning... And since when did a "cucumber salad" turn into a simply sliced cucumber for $5?! Seriously? Not acceptable.

Very unfriendly almost hostile.. sullen waiters scruffy brought bottle of wine to table already opened and had been for some time. Should have refused 'wine's and left then. Starter and main course brought at almost same time ..... a terrible place for a dinning experience. Food v poor. Do not go

Service is not good in the afternoon times...water glass is smelling bad.. disappointed.... quantity vs price of the food is not good...high price for low qty of food....look at heavily used plate with scratches in the plate.... didn't like it....not a good experience.. don't prefer here...

India Clay Oven used to be a mainstay for visiting San Francisco. The lunch buffet was always very tasty and the price reasonable. On my last visit however, there appeared to a change in ownership and/or management that notably reflected in the food.
The recipes appear to be the same, but the selection of meat was decidedly different. The chicken was stringy and gristly...absolutely unappealing.
It's too bad, because I used to enjoy this place very much. Perhaps I will try again in the future once they realize they need to go back to their high standards.
