I only tried bar, and it was really good. 3 different types of guiness!and bunch of other unique beers. This place is perfect for St. Patricks! GooglePlace - October 2017

My Husband and myself googled Irish Pubs in San Fransisco and because of the reviews we ended up at Johnny Foley's. I ordered a Gin & Tonic but on tasting it I realised that they had put soda water in instead. I called the waitress over and apologetically explained that they had not put tonic water in my drink. She kindly took it back and replaced it but it still didn't have tonic water added. I took the drink back to the bar myself and spoke to the tall Irish Barman who was quite put out and nasty as he wafted his arm over the soft drink pumps and said 'it's soda water, we don't have tonic water'. Why didn't they say that in the first place. I then ordered a glass of Zinfandel (which everyone knows is red), but what they served me was a full blown red wine which I can't drink and didn't. We ate our food and left. Very disappointed with this place and the way they didn't seem to be bothered. Personally I wouldn't recommend. GooglePlace - September 2017

The bar and restaurant upstairs is great but if you're looking for a really fun night in the city try the dueling pianos in the basement. It's a fun interactive sing along where the crowd really gets into it and has a good time. GooglePlace - September 2017

I never come to San Francisco without coming here for a beer, Guinness, live music or the awesome fish and chips. Best Irish pub on the planet. Good pub food (esp F&C's), great beer, bands, service. Sport on the TV, but doesn't dominate the atmosphere. I don't do the piano bar stairs, can't comment, so I'm just talking the pub itself. GooglePlace - August 2017

Great food, nice ambiance. I was here on a Friday night. Little loud, but this kind of bar is usually a lot louder and more rambunctious. Looked like a mix of locals and tourists, well behaved bunch. Older crowd, sport fans, not a rowdy young crowd at all. There was live music starting as I left - sounded good. I got the beef & Guinness soup & the Irish potato skins. Both were excellent. Great staff as well, very helpful and attendant. Decent set of Irish or English beers on tap. This is a good place to bring your parents, or a casual group of friends to watch a game. Not a super fancy trendy spot, more of an upscale local spot. GooglePlace - April 2017
