After walking by La Briciola many-a-time on the way to or from Caltrain or other places in the area, my bf and I finally stepped in for dinner one night. I was a bit concerned it would be pricey - the atmosphere gives off that vibe. However, the dinner prices were pretty reasonable and pretty much on par with similar restaurants. Right off the bat, we were greeted warmly (in Italian!) and seated at a table near the door. It was a bit chilly when the door opened, but otherwise it was fine. After perusing the menu for some time, I decided on the Spaghetti alla Costiera (black ink spaghetti, mussels, lams, shrimp, cherry tomatoes in white wine sauce) and my bf had the Lasagna di Carne (besciamella, beef ragu, parmigiano cheese). He's actually from Northern Italy, so the stakes were high... but we were not disappointed! Both of us were very happy with the quality and taste of the food. Even the bread to start was really good! Besides that, the restaraunt has a nice vibe that can be good for a romantic date and/or just hanging out with a group of friends. Needless to say, I'll be back soon - hungry for more ;) GooglePlace - September 2017

One of the best Italian restaurant in SOMA! I had an amazing lasagna and I can't wait to go back to try their other plates. The environment is small and friendly, perfect for a date night. The waiter was very nice and also suggested us some of their best plates. GooglePlace - September 2017

What's this? An Italian restaurant that Doesn't spam Mambo Italiano? That has nice tablecloths and Doesn't cover them with paper? Fresh delicious food? Yes Please! I'll definitely be coming back 👍 GooglePlace - August 2017

e visited on a very slow Sunday night. Food was pleasant if immemorable, and took forever - tough to understand when all we ordered was pasta. Quaint, local trattoria atmosphere - I can see this being a good date place. Just be prepared to take your time. GooglePlace - April 2017
