Over the past fourteen years Le Colonial has become a mainstay in the San Francisco restaurant and lounge scene. We offer a variety of options for hosting private events, from weddings and rehearsal dinners to business luncheons and corporate functions. If the need for entertaining clients or potential business partners should arise we have a convenient location in the Union Square area. We have equipment for slide shows and presentations, and can add a special touch to any occasion with flowers or centerpieces. Le Colonial is the perfect destination to make your next special event a memorable one. Our menu features an array of contemporary twists of Vietnamese-French cuisine in our unmistakable atmosphere evoking 1920’s Vietnam. With a wide variety of party rooms for dinners and receptions we can host an event anywhere from an intimate group of 20 people to as many as 500 people, offering our exceptional cuisine in the timeless tradition people have come to know and love us for. Our cocktail lounge features dancing with a live band every weeknight starting at seven o’clock with everything from gypsy jazz music to blues and swing, making us a wonderful venue for featuring live entertainment. A recent renovation allows our Lounge and Cosmo Room to connect if needed with a capacity of 250 people for a standing reception and 140 people for a seated dinner. On Friday and Saturday nights we feature our house DJ from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. offering drinks, dancing and bottle service in our nightclub. ***Please keep in mind that we enforce a DRESS CODE, we kindly ask for business casual with an emphasis on no open toe shoes or flip flops and no shorts for the gentlemen. We thank you in advance for understanding.*** For more information please contact our Event Coordinator Michelle Cheng at specialevents@lecolonialsf.com.

Absolutely fabulous food, atmosphere and service. Mind you, the prices may seem high, but you get what you paid for. Great for large parties since servings are family style. I had to finalize the menu in advance, but you can customize it and even chose the title on the menu for the gathering. GooglePlace - December 2017

What a charming place. The restaurant is off an alley, which is hard to spot. The Le Colonial neon sign points the way. Outs an unassuming entrance, but once you get inside, it's marvelous. Looks to be an old Victorian how converted into a restaurant. The food was great too. I wasn't wowed by their spring rolls, but the Pot An Pho was absolutely incredible. GooglePlace - November 2017

Ok. Maybe my review is a little harsh. Normally I don't deduct for poor service. But they got my friends order completely wrong. As in wrong item. No offer of discounting barely an apology. We had a show to make so no chance of getting the right item. We requested another table but were told they had a reservation for the other table. It sat empty the entire time we were there. Food would have been 4 star. Nothing spectacular. More upscale than most but flavors kind of flat. I'd skip. Many other better choices in the area. GooglePlace - November 2017

Came here for a team dinner with my company. Michelle made it easy to organize and order for everyone, while be conscious of dietary restrictions. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong and tasty! Be aware: they have a dress code here! GooglePlace - November 2017

Excellent location. Atmosphere definitely resembles old French colonial buildings in Saigon. Food was very good. Had the oxtail bowl. Bone marrow with mushrooms was amazing. Highly recommend for intimate evening. GooglePlace - October 2017
