Offering a wide range of meats cooked perfectly over the wood-fired asador (grill), as well as ceviche, empanadas, specialty dishes, and grilled skewers, Lolinda is a lively destination restaurant for group dining, dates, business dinners and celebrations, as well as a spot for locals and restaurant industry types who congregate at one of the restaurant’s two full bars for expertly made nuevo (new) and clasico (classic steakhouse style) cocktails.

Food was excellent; service was prompt and the drinks were perfection. The only issue I had was that it seemed a little cramped for a rooftop setting. The view was great for people sitting on one side of the terrace but not great for the other side as it faces an apartment building. GooglePlace - October 2017

luckily got here at 5:30pm on a tuesday and was able to get in easily and find a table. staff were slightly difficult. good happy hour deals and was able to have them bring my friend up when he arrived around 6pm - by then the wait was a line outside. great views of the city from the roof. overall quite good, just need to get there early! As a tourist, I was a little disappointed. The food was good but not worth the hour+ wait to get a table. I even came here alone and the wait was still crazy! They don't have traditional Mexican fare, but the margaritas were still strong and will get the job done. The food was normal priced for SF (overpriced) I wish I went to some other Mexican place for tacos honestly! GooglePlace - September 2017

This place was recommended as a can't miss by some locals. I was incredibly let down. We went on a Sunday for brunch, and it was understandably busy. I do not fault them for that. What I do fault them for is that when we, a party of two, finally went up to the restaurant after waiting for an hour, there were a lot of empty tables. Like, a lot. I understand spacing out new tables to make the workload a little easier for waiters, but this was ridiculous. We were seated next to two empty two person tables, and it was another 30 -40 minutes until we saw one of the tables get filled, when I know there were multiple groups of two still waiting on the street. The food was mediocre. The menu was limited. The street level hostess was friendly and polite and our waiter was not as attentive as he should have been (but it was busy, so I do not fault him for it.) I wish we had skipped it and found something more authentic. If this is standard restaurant operations in San Francisco, then I am glad we were only there for a day and a half.
