I love mandalay! Just as good (or better?) than Burma superstar and always way easier to get in. Tea leaf salad, samusa soup, mango chicken and mandalay noodle are some of my favorites. GooglePlace - September 2017

Food is overpriced for the amount you get, for a small amount of coke it's $4 with no refills, on top of that the waiters speak zero English, goodluck explaining your food allergies. And they also don't split checks here, as the worker said "you put all on credit card" GooglePlace - August 2017

Gave it a try. One time was all that was needed to realize that my money could be better spent elsewhere. San Francisco has so many restaurants to choose from that I am sure that I will not miss anything by not venturing into this restaurant again. Ps. The dishes tasted of bleach/dishwasher soap. Just not as good as Burma Superstar. I love the idea of finding a Burmese place that's as tasty as Burma Superstar with less of the wait, but I just haven't been able to do it. This one is good, it's just not that same level. Highlights: balada (esp the curry dipping sauce), rainbow salad, rangoon lamb (so tender!) The staff is friendly and I'd probably come back if I was in the area, but not when I'm hitting a real craving. GooglePlace - June 2017

Went for lunch. Fabulous service. Had two off menu items, Bang Bang Seafood & Mango Chicken, both were delicious. The Burmese iced tea was not to my taste but others may enjoy it, likewise with the tea leaf salad, which gets final preparation at your table which is fun. Hope to return. GooglePlace - May 2017
