They were busy following Science March but the food was so worth the wait. Really tasty! Easy walk from Civic Center, hip area. GooglePlace - May 2017

Very nice French brasserie food - the kitchen seem to care about what they are doing. Everything we've tried over several visits has been delicious. The place is spacious and has a nice vibe about it. Staff are friendly and attentive. GooglePlace - April 2017

Amazing wait staff. Delicious & strong cocktails. Simple, filling entrees. Gratuity included for most large parties; willing to split tab among 5 separate payers. GooglePlace - April 2017

Monsieur Benjamin feels like Michelin stars without needing to dress up. This restaurant is hands-down one of my favorites - for the outstanding food and the impeccable service! Banish any preconceptions of heavy French food... the Chef prepares dishes with all the richness of French food, but without the feeling one consumed two sticks of butter! Must-try dishes: a scrumptious escargot that will make even the pickiest eater proudly order them on a return trip; a steak and frites to rival any steakhouse for those that refuse the escargot; an almond-encrusted arctic char on haricot verts, something I've ordered many times. Beyond dinner, there are small bites, shared plates, and a bar that make this is a great place for a first date, or group gathering before a show. Monsieur Benjamin is only blocks from Bill Graham Auditorium at Civic Center, the Symphony and the Ballet. The Performing Arts garage is across the intersection, but on busy nights you may need an alternate parking plan. Hayes Valley can be chilly at night, so bring layers. Monsieur Benjamin has coat racks and coat hooks at the bar. GooglePlace - March 2017

I've been here a couple of times and have enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the dishes I have tried have been nicely prepared and seasoned. It wasn't always easy to book a reservation, given its location to the symphony/opera and hip neighborhood, but I don't have any real complaints. GooglePlace - March 2017
