This place was really great, until when we were putting on our jackets, finishing our conversation, a guy with a red beard that hadn't said a word to us all night said, "We have another reservation coming here after you as well." Way to ruin what had been a great dinner up until that point! How tone deaf can you be? I realize you gotta flip tables and make money, but you just screwed up a perfectly good experience for some customers that you could've waited 3 more minutes and they would've been out the door. To be fair, we had a 630p reservation and it was 930p. But we had had cocktails to start, a bunch of the different sashimi, vegetable, etc dishes, a final dish of udon, dessert and a bottle of sake. Not to mention that we waited at least 30 minutes for the final dish udon - if you were concerned with flipping tables, start with yourself. Anyway, too bad because this place was almost as good as some of the other great Japanese restaurants in SF. It just turns out that the others won't usher you out after they've taken your money. We had a reservation for two weeks and were really looking forward to going to this restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered cocktails, sashimi, several vegetable dishes, tofu, skewers, and other meat dishes, as well as the final udon dish. We also ordered pre-dinner cocktails, a bottle of sake, and desserts. The udon took a long time to come out, but the waitress apologized and we didn't mind. We spent quite a bit of money on this special dinner and didn't skimp on any of the courses. After paying and leaving a generous tip we were chatting as we were about to leave, the tall host with a red beard stopped by our table and said, "By the way there is another reservation coming to this table." He was basically telling us to leave. I found this to be extremely rude because 1- we had just spent a lot of money on this dinner, 2- it's not our problem that you have to flip a table, 3- the udon took a long time to come out, which extended our dinner, but again was not our problem, 4- we literally had our coats on our laps and were about to leave. This really ruined our night on what would have otherwise been a nice dinner. Will not come again! GooglePlace - October 2017

You will feel transported in Kyoto. Try their Katsu with melted cheese in the middle and their Udon Carbonara. Everything else is amazing. Foursquare - October 2017
