Excellent place for happy hour in the heart of the financial district. Their food is incredible and the service is quite charming. Heads up, they're doing an overhaul of the restaurant and opening up under another name but it's the same folks so I'll bet it'll be great. I think that's supposed to happen around Sept 2017 but don't quote me on that. GooglePlace - July 2017

The menu here seems small and looks simplistic, but where it shines is the "Experience," which is essentially a tasting menu. It costs about $95 and you get a few amuse bouche to start, then countless of courses of food (I'd lose count for real!). It has an excellent wine list, though vey Burgundy-centric (the restaurant is named after the Route Nationale 74 that runs through Burgundy). I'd admit wine prices are not cheap, but if you know how to navigate wine lists, there are good deals to be found. Cute decor, looks like a train station, and the board at the far end of the restaurant rotates through the wine list like arrivals/departures. I'll miss this place when it's replaced by Ayesha Curry's BBQ restaurant! GooglePlace - June 2017

I have always visited RN 74 during happy hour which just last for 2 hours. A small selection of cocktails and 🍷 but everything on menu is great. Love the vibe here specially it's not that crowded. GooglePlace - April 2017

RN74 is a mix between a dining car on a train hurtling through the French countryside + NYC West Village wine bar. Classy and upscale but friendly, professional and welcoming (although depending on your server, they may be a little overzealously pushy in upselling you on an appetizer or small plate.) Named after the highway that runs through the Burgundy wine region of France, RN74 is a place to indulge in a pricey upscale meal or just sample flights of Burgundian wine in a fun and elegant setting, from the huge clapping train board displaying featured wines to the energetic buzz of the thriving bar lounge.
