My favorite restaurant! The food is always fresh and flavorful, and you can make healthy choices easily if you have a mind to. If this is your first time, I recommend the Coastal Trio, which lets you sample three different entrees. The staff is friendly and they get your order right, the dining area is clean and the music doesn't blare, so you can easily talk with your friends. GooglePlace - July 2017

Place is really good. Best to catch them on off peak hours. GooglePlace - July 2017

Food here is awesome. Choices include salads, quinoa& brown rice options, and grilled fish. During lunch rush and Taco Tuesday specials line can pretty long. I always go early for lunch or on other days. GooglePlace - July 2017

They're very short staffed tonight but Janira & Jermaine worked tirelessly to make sure everyone got their food in the fastest timing as possible. Especially Janira (think thats her name) who went from the kitchen to the lobby cutting limes, filling salsa bowls, serving plates & doing it with a smile even though I could tell they were SWAMPED! Jermaine worked the cash register & served food as well! Shout out to all the cooks too my food was BOMB!! Excellent customer service every time I visit! GooglePlace - June 2017

I recently caught this place on a bad night, but then I realized that on most of the times I've visited this Rubio's location it was having a bad night. Do you live in Vallejo and have a craving for fish tacos on a nice weekend afternoon or evening? Before you leave your place, lower your expectations on how fast you think you're going to fill that craving because Rubio's Vallejo kitchen isn't up to the task of getting you food at a reasonable time (regardless of whether you called in your order or walked in). However, I can't really find too much fault in the food or the staff (which is why it's a 2-Star rating and not a 1-Star). The biggest problem with this restaurant is where it's located and it's size: This somewhat-popular chain is sitting in the middle of a heavy traffic area and the store they're in is not big enough to handle the many customers coming through it. It'd be like if In-N-Out Burger wanted to serve food from a tiny store in a busy mall and they take call in orders but no drive-in option (i.e. you're going to have a bad time in getting your food).
