I went to the location on Van Ness and was excited to try their steaks. It was my first time ever at a Ruth Cris but I am a bit of a steak connoisseur. I PROCEEDED TO ORDER MY WINE AND STEAK AND GLANCED ACROSS THE ROOM. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW. THE COOK WAS PULLING BUGGERS OUT OF HIS NOSE. I KID YOU NOT. MAYBE HE HAD A SINUS INFECTION BUT HE SAW THAT I LOOKED AT HIM AND CONTINUED TO DIG INTO HIS NOSE. I WAS SO GROSSED OUT THAT I LEFT THE RESTAURANT AND ASKED FOR MY ORDER TO BE CANCELLED. MAYBE THEIR STEAKS ARE DELICIOUS BUT I DO NOT WANT UNSANITARY BODILY WASTE IN MY FOOD. I AM SERIOUS!! I LOST MY APPETITE. I WENT TO MORTONS INSTEAD. THE STEAKS WERE GOOD AT MORTONS. Rib Eye is an amazing dish here. Ordering it medium or medium rare is the best. Dessert called the chocolate duo was absolutely decadent. Great place for a good value steak! GooglePlace - June 2017

Amazing food. The steaks are delicious. And the wine was phenomenal, I suggest La Perlina if you like moscato. A little difficult to find parking. There is a garage on its left side going up the hill. GooglePlace - June 2017

What a huge disappointment. There were 12 of us for a special occasion. 4 of us couldn't even eat our entrees. The lamb chops were so fatty they were gross. Two of the steaks were tough. I didn't ask those at the other end of the table. Next time, we're going to Harris' down the street. GooglePlace - April 2017

I came here for a Sunday evening dinner with my husband and daughter. It was a first trip for my daughter and I but the second for my husband. We had no trouble finding parking right outside the restaurant curbside although I think this was just plain luck. We had reservations for 6:30pm but we arrived by 5:30pm and they got us in about ten minutes upon our arrival despite others who also held reservations. My daughter and I ordered Ribeyes and they were cooked to perfection! Mine was medium rare and my daughter's was medium. My husband ordered a sirloin medium and he said it was better than the Ruth's Chris steak he had back in Arizona. The meat was tender and juicy and very little fat was visible on the cut. We ordered the steamed broccoli (my husband said the asparagus is better) and the Lobster Mac N Cheese which was out of this world! I ate every bite of my portion and all I wanted was more! My husband wished we would have ordered the mashed potatoes as he says they serve the best mashed potatoes he's ever had so hopefully we can come back soon to get those! The service was impeccable and our waiter was extremely professional, polite, and extremely attentive. The atmosphere is very romantic with more of an antique feel, dimly lit, and quiet. It is very clean and my daughter and I went to the restroom before leaving and their napkins to dry your hands are by far the thickest napkins I've ever laid my hands on! I took one home as a souvenir! Thank you Ruth's Chris for the best steak I've ever had, just overall terrific food, and overall a great dining experience during our night in the city! I can cross this off my bucket list! GooglePlace - January 2017
