Wish I had taken a few pictures but somehow was distracted by the couple making out in the booth in front of us. The beer was great though (had the Koelsch - and if that’s not your style they have about 20 others to choose from) and the BBQ was delicious!
Be sure to pour some of their house bbq sauce onto your plate no matter what you get. Had the brisket and then some ribs. Both just melted on your tongue. Reminded me of some of the great Oklahoma and Texas BBQ I used to get. Next time I’ll try to Tri tip.
And yah, the couple was hot.GooglePlace - January 2018
Great beer and an interesting cocktail menu. Food is delicious. Love the mac & cheese.GooglePlace - January 2018
A great hipster bar with a massive selection of beers and full mixology cocktail bar. The food is good but somehow misses the mark. All of the standard smokehouse menu items are available, but the flavor doesn't quite knock your socks off. Regardless, one of the better places to hang out in the dog patch area.GooglePlace - November 2017
Honestly, I’m not fan of this brewery. It’s pretty meh, IMO.Foursquare - November 2017
This place is great. We worked with Margaux on a private event in October for about 50 people and can't say enough great things about our experience. We loved the food and decor, our guests felt welcome and had a blast and the staff was super accommodating of some last-minute requests. I would definitely recommend this venue for a casual, hip private event. The main bar/dining area was also great. We spent some time in there after the event, and thing were winding down for the evening, but the vibe in there was still great and the bartenders mixed some awesome cocktails. Hope to be back soon.GooglePlace - October 2017
Excellent food and beer and some creative cocktails make this a place I enjoy visiting when we have friends and family in town and are in the city.
It's off the tourist trail but that's not a bad thing! Parking is generally not a problem and there's a light rail stop just outside the door, plus a caltrain station half a mile away.
The decor is quirky and industrial and my young niece got a kick out of the sparkling water faucet.GooglePlace - September 2017
Original bar where they brew their own beer. Delicious smoked grilled meats.Foursquare - September 2017

Cask condioned ales and fine scran. Go there!Foursquare - August 2016
Thus place has gone bad. At 8 o clock they ran out of Mac and cheese. At 830 they only had brisket left. The place was not even crowded. The lady at the bbq counter was pretty rude.Foursquare - June 2016
Great beer and cocktails. Pair it with some BBQ while you're at it!Foursquare - May 2016
They have some nice brews on cask and they distill their own whiskey. There is a smokehouse on the premises, but it is slightly overpriced.Foursquare - March 2016
Cask beers are fantastic.Foursquare - November 2015

The brisket!! And the little salted chocolate cookies. Great place.Foursquare - September 2015
You could try a new beer every time at this place and never be disappointed! Make sure you get here early enough that they're not out of the mac and cheeseFoursquare - September 2015
You can't beat the BBQ by the pound, the drinks, or the selection of their own brews.Foursquare - August 2015
Sip whiskey at Smokestack, a new bar from the Magnolia team. Expect potent, dangerously drinkable cocktails and a whiskey list to do a Kentucky granddad proud.Foursquare - October 2014
