Lots of interesting museum-type items adorning the walls. Drinks are decent. Patrons are friendly. There are boxes of postcards on the bar. The postcards have been sent to the cafe by patrons over the years. Reading through them definitely gives you a sense of the people who are drawn to this place. GooglePlace - June 2017

Good old Spec's is still humming along. We used to come after work in the 90s and have fond memories of hanging out with colleagues. It's the same scene but no one smoking anymore inside. Good drinks, good atmosphere and still plenty of knock knacks on the walls to spark conversations. GooglePlace - May 2017

It's easy to miss when driving, but walking shouldn't be a problem. It's literally right next door to Devil's Acre a few feet from Columbus Ave. A bit of a dive good enough for locals and out of towners. Older and younger crowd all mixed in having drinks and socializing. The more you sit in the back the more cozier it gets. Friday and Saturday nights is definitely the time to be there. Great find, it is kind of a dive, but not in a bad way. This place has personality, and the bartenders & other patrons are generally really friendly. It is an easy place to have an interesting conversation with strangers. GooglePlace - April 2017
