St. Francis is hands down the best brunch in the city. Other places might be fancier on the one hand, or cheaper on the other, but St. Francis combines great ambience, excellent food, unbelievable value, and friendly service for a must-repeat experience every time. My wife and I go here every few weeks and we still find new things to enjoy on the huge menu, while also spotting new curiosities lining the walls (look for the old school telephone booth near the back!). Only down side: no reservations, so you'll need to come put your name on the paper list outside the door. During peak times (11am-2pm on weekends) it can be ~30-45 mins wait for 2. Great Breakfast! Classic American! Cute old-school cafe. This breakfast here is really excellent. The servings are enough for two. **This is by far the **WORST** coffee in San Francisco. The worst. Do not order the coffee, you've been warned. They've got to try to make it this bad. GooglePlace - June 2017

Fun, old school diner that serves up a comforting breakfast at a great price. They can get busy and do not always have someone at the door to attend to customers. If so, look out for the clipboard in front of the entrance and put your name down to get in the line asap. If you wait for someone to help you, they will tell you to put your name down on the board anyway. I loved the spinach, mushroom and egg scramble and especially the side of banana bread. Sit at the bar for fun views of staff making milk shakes. GooglePlace - June 2017

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! This is the place to visit in San Fransisco for a retro and amazing breakfast, The milkshakes are something you will remember for life; thick, creamy, sweet. And the pancakes are off the scale. Recommend this place to everyone and anyone. GooglePlace - June 2017

This might be one of my new favorite spots in the city! Super cute old school diner... such friendly staff, good service, tasty diner fare, feels straight out of the 50s. If you're a BLT person, go for the Baltimore. I really liked the fries, slightly soft potatoey but with crispy bits too. And don't miss the milkshakes! Thick and served in a huge shaker, just like they should be. GooglePlace - May 2017
