This is the worst sushi I've ever had. They messed up our order and sent the completely wrong thing, which happens. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and had them send the correct order. It came, but nothing had any flavor. The foods individually didn't even taste how they were supposed to. I hope this was just a bad night for them! GooglePlace - July 2017

Ordered take out. sushi was fine but salmon teriyaki was inedible. Covered in crushed whole black peppercorns. Embedded in fish so we could not remove them... which means that was all you can taste. And that after having to wait 40 mins for food after they told me on phone it would be 20 mins. They don't offer refunds over the phone so check your food before you leave unless you want to go back. Great sushi! Fresh, good atmosphere, friendly staff who were very flexible in changing tv stations to March Madness basketball (instead of tennis. Audy, the owner, checked on us frequently and was extremely friendly to our 6 year old daughter. 4 of us dined there, 3 adults and one 6 year old. We come to SF quite a bit from Sacramento and will definitely be returning to Kaisen Sushi. 4 stars instead of 5 because the space is sort of small and the restroom is in the adjacent hotel, so you have to go outside of the restaurant to go wash your hands. Not sure that's the restaurant's fault but that's my reason for the 4 stars. GooglePlace - March 2017
