Tasty boba (bubble) tea, but expensive. Fun, friendly staff, handy punch-card reward opportunities. Crepes are definitely tasty, but I'd recommend eating in. We took ours to-go and it didn't keep as well beyond the 10 minutes it took to get it home and eat (still yummy!). Love their Dirty Chai Bubble Teas! GooglePlace - November 2017

A cute place, has lots of seating in a decent space. Like the crepes and peppermint hot chocolate. The fireplace (beautiful but faux) and fire pit are nice touches. Friendly staff. GooglePlace - October 2017

Had a delicious crepe both times I was here recently. One time there was party music on and the staff was having lots of fun behind the counter. The next time, music less obtrusive and staff quite nice and efficient. They were very kind about taking an unwanted ingredient (hideous mayonnaise-y sauce - why why?) off of the top of my crepe for me, much appreciated. GooglePlace - October 2017

Seems like an all right place, but only 1 shot of espresso for an 8 oz latte or cappacino? This place doesn't know how either of these drinks are supposed to be made apparently. Costs an extra $2 to make sure you get a drink that is the proper proportions. Won't be back. GooglePlace - September 2017

The Jewel Box Cafe is our go to place for avocado smoothie with tapioca (AKA bubble tea).$5.00. The one we had Saturday had less avocado taste than previously, more of -- was it coconut? -- whatever it was, we agreed that we liked it even better. I had a Cobb salad to go $13.00 and when I dumped it into a bowl at home, Wow! at was a lot! Fresh and delicious at a very good price. YOu can see from my photos that there is outdoor dining. The place is always busy, but the service, after you order at the counter, is quick and friendly. There is a booth, a small private dining room, an area of tables and couches and the usual array of tables. The interior design is busy and pleasant. You can see that it is a place for a quick bite or to linger with friends or with your laptop. Thornton Place is not only attractive with a variety of venues and the movie theaters. There is also an underground garage where parking is free for two hours. This time we took advantage of the free 1/2-hour parking facing the shops and the fountain. I had previously reviewed the Jewel Box Cafe in Ruston, north of Tacoma, WA. That great salad made me want to try something else, the Cobb salad. Glad that we did! GooglePlace - August 2017
