Spectacular View Panoramic views of the Puget Sound, Elliott Bay, West Seattle the Olympic Mountains and a spectacular sunset await you at Maximilien. Antique mirrors covering most of the walls make this romantic view sublime from any seats in the house. Fine Cuisine Our food is as spectacular as our view that has made us one of Seattle’s most intimate settings for over 30 years. The Chefs at Maximilien cook local ingredients with French techniques. The result is a seasonally changing menu highlighted by such signatures as the wonderful “Duck Confit.”

The food is always excellent but I cannot justify leaving a 5 star review when the service is lacking. We arrived early to our reservation. When checking in, the host specifically told us that there was no window table available. I told him that we were fine waiting until something opens up. Part of the appeal of eating here is the view... Immediately after saying that we would wait, he asked us to follow him and sat us down at a window table. Without looking, he knew that there was one available and he lied to us saying that there was not one. Yes I have tattoos, yes I'm young. I should be treated the same as any guest because I am spending my money here. We always tip over 20% and never cause a commotion. I did not enjoy my meal even though our server was nice and the food was good because I could not stop thinking about the awful host. GooglePlace - November 2017

Food quality is good which is surprising given the touristy location. Prices are high with respect to the portion sizes and dish quality however not too outlandish for the very center of Seattle. 3.5 stars out of 5 is fair for this place. GooglePlace - November 2017

I cannot attest for the food because we decided not to eat at this establishment. Myself and my colorful crew walked in looking for a brunch-type meal- They do not offer brunch. However we we hungry and it seemed nice enough. First we were ignored by the hostess. Then when she did finally decide to acknowledge our group, the feeling of being 'looked down upon' was thick. She asked "Have you ever been here before?" -Nope- "Oh, I see. Well, why don't you look over the menu and see if it suits all of you" Ummm.... it wasn't what she said but HOW she said it. I didn't have to look over the menu. I instantly did not want to eat there. We politely walked out saying that we were more looking for a brunch and thanked them. Then proceeded to drop a few hundred dollars at a much friendlier establishment. Maximilien: Don't judge a book by it's cover GooglePlace - October 2017

Terrible service... I asked one dessert menu to one of their waiters and he looked at us and totally ignored and went his way.. That was such an awkward moment I've ever experienced and I've never experienced that kind of moment in any restaurants in my life in the states. And the entire mood in this restaurant is not welcoming and it felt like this place is just for local native people.. I went to many restaurants in Seattle which have similar quality of this restaurant and no places were like them. As the other review said, There are MUCH MUCH better restaurants available. :( GooglePlace - September 2017
