A truly awesome experience. While it was raining, we enjoyed every minute of the meal. The moment you enter the building it smells like chowder, and the chowder was awesome. It tasted fresh, and just was absolutely marvelous. Bread included was soft too. Keep in mind that there is very little indoor seating, and with the rainy Seattle weather it might be a little hard to consume this delectable treat. But still, go here if you’re in a 100 mike radius of Seattle. GooglePlace - January 2018

A bowl of average chowder billed as the "nation's finest." Had a fantastic bowl of chowder just the day before at the Seattle Center (Collections Cafe), so was really expecting great things from the line and the hype. Instead we got a bowl of ordinary chowder in a "sourdough bowl" that wasn't sourdough. Super disappointed. The staff was rude too, and had the nerve to ask for a tip even though they didn't offer any service; you just bought your stuff at a cash register and served yourself. Sad that the tourists think this is great chowder. If you are in Seattle and can't get to San Francisco for real chowder and real sourdough, go to the Chihuly Gardens and eat in the Collections Cafe instead. GooglePlace - January 2018

This is a professional establishment who deeply care for there customers, I say this with first hand experience. My family and I had a situation at Pike Place Chowder the Thursday before Xmas, at which I addressed this with Mike the following day. Mike and his staff addressed the situation promptly, amicably and very sympathetic to our situation. This place is famous for quality chowders and they deserve that excellent reputation. “No matter what happens in a business, there will always be situations that arise. It’s not always about what happened, it’s how it’s handled!” For this reason I give Pike Place Chowder - 5 STARS. GooglePlace - December 2017

So busy place and that tells you all. Amazing Chowder soup. Mine was the Seafood Bisque . The best i’ve ever had , cooked to perfection , you don’t need to add salt or anything else. It’s served with a slice of baguette bread and you can help yourself with spoons ,salt ,pepper ,butter and crackers from a side stand. The queue is quite long but it’s worth the wait and they are quick, you won’t stand there for long and that encouraged me to go again the next day. I tried the Captain’s roll , but nothing special, but still was good. GooglePlace - December 2017

With nearly 5,000 reviews and a very high rating, you know this is the place to check out when in Seattle. At $13.95, the sampler with 4 chowders of your choice is the best way to try a variety of different flavors and ingredients. We ordered a New England Clam Chowder, Smoked Salmon Chowder, Crab & Oyster Chowder, and a Seafood Bisque. My favorite was the Seafood Bisque, but you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. All were the right amount of salty and filled with a good amount of fresh tasting ingredients so that you won't have to dig around. To top it off, they include free bread and crackers to complement the chowders. The line is long, but bearable, especially when compared to the line at the "first" Starbucks down the street. And what you're getting there is no different from any other Starbucks, so spend your time here instead! :) GooglePlace - November 2017
