For the Pacific Northwest, this place offers very good chowder. If you want the full experience, try the sampler for roughly $13. The sampler offers four, 5 ounce cups of their chowders. My personal favorite is the the new england clam chowder. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a reasonably priced, good seafood joint. GooglePlace - July 2017

Like the food here. Somehow we like the market chowder (lobster + crab) that day better than clam chowder. I feel like the clam chowder is a bit overly creamy for my taste. I prefer something that let me taste better for the seafood itself. We went there on a weekday 1130am and wait for 30mins. Not too bad as a tourist attraction. GooglePlace - July 2017

I ordered their award winning Boston Chowder. It richly deserves all the accolades. Its the best I've ever had. Highly recommended. They also have a sampler order where you can get 4 little cups of different types of chowder. That seemed to be a best seller because a Lot of people were eating it. The lady at the next table got one and said that she liked the Boston the best. But they have a New England (I think that was it) and also salmon that looked darned good. GooglePlace - June 2017

I visited Pike Place Chowder, and I ordered a sampler of Smoked Salmon, Seafood Bisque, Seared Scallop, and Manhattan. Each of the chowders were extremely flavorful. All the ingredients were fresh, and the service was fast. If you plan on eating at the restaurant around lunch time and early dinner, be prepared to wait. I went about 30 minutes before closing. There is limited seating (as with most places in the area), but I would highly recommend making a stop here even if there is a large queue. This place is a landmark for a reason! As everyone else praises, I agree, great tasting chowder that can't be found elsewhere in the Northwest. Long lineups, try for early morning or late afternoon. There are several flavours and I liked all of them, so I would definitely start with the award winnings ones (like the Original). I do prefer Chelsea market flavor in the Northeast.
