Absolutely love that they have a vegan option! And in a bread bowel makes it even better. I was finally able to enjoy a chowder with my boyfriend and it was so delicious. Worth the wait for sure. GooglePlace - April 2017

I had seen Pike Place Chowder on the food show - Dining on a Dime. Though I hadn't had any chowders before, what I saw on the show looked inviting and delicious. They seemed like something I would like. So, when I moved to Seattle this month I decided to visit this place on my first weekend. (Along with seeing the beautiful Pike Place market) Its right next to the market on Post Alley. Easy to find. You will see a long queue outside the order counter. I stood in the queue and looked at the menu. I wanted to go for the New England clam on a bread bowl but finally I went for the 4 chowder combo. Chose the New England, Smoked Salmon, Crab and the Manhattan Style. It comes with bread. For me the chowders felt like perfect comfort food. Something that you would have on a rainy day cozied up at your home. I have to say thought that Manhattan Style chowder isnt my thing. It's hard to choose a favorite among the other three. The place is super busy but the staff is sweet. Prices are reasonable. GooglePlace - April 2017

Excellent chowder and well worth the wait in line. I got a large New England clam chowder as that's always been my go to chowder. This is definitely one of the best chowders I've had in my life. Great location but not much seating. GooglePlace - March 2017

The line up goes across the mall... but it moves fast! Sampler is great for those of us who can't decide or aren't dining with people you can share with. Each chowder was distinctive and delicious. GooglePlace - March 2017

Chowder like I have never had! I had a short trip out to Seattle and I ate this twice! It was so good and worth the wait in line. I would suggest going a bit earlier than you would normally eat to allow for some wait time. I may also recommend that you get it to go and eat it somewhere less crowded as tables are sparse.
