La Piazza dei Mestieri ha voluto recuperare questantica tradizione con l’intento di educare al lavoro gli oltre 500 ragazzi che ogni giorno varcano il portone di questa originale scuola. Esperti mastri birrai svolgono questo entusiasmante compito svelando come l’utilizzo di materie prime naturali quali acqua, malto, luppolo e lieviti possano dar vita alla bevanda più apprezzata e bevuta al mondo, dopo l’acqua. La nostra birra è artigianale, viva e non pastorizzata. E la rifermentazione in bottiglia le consente una lunga e ottimale conservazione. Salute!

Birrificio La Piazza is a brewery that opened on Via Durandi in Turin in 2007, revitalizing the city’s historic brewing tradition. In 2014, the owners opened a 2nd location on Via Dei Mille, which serves as a taproom and restaurant where the Birrificio La Piazza beers are featured. This taproom is located just across the street from the Balboa garden city park which has scenic water fountains and a playground for kids. The taproom occupies the ground floor of a 4-story stone building, and has their white rectangular sign with jumbled letters overhead. Just inside is the bar room which has 7 wooden stools and a curved white marble bar. There are 6 large taps for the house beer and a refrigerator case with additional varieties in bottles. Also on the left are bottle shop shelves with their beer for sale to go. The draft beer is shared from the original brewery, and the bottled varieties are contract brewed at the nearby Birrificio Soralama. They also feature Soralama’s own bottled beers as guest crafts here. In all, they have about 10 beers in bottles spanning a good range of styles. I enjoyed the draft beer on a sampler flight, and thought the quality was very good. My favorites were their Anniversary Belgian Pale Ale and Hopper APA. Past the bar room are a few separate dining rooms with wooden floors, black tables, red walls and black and white photos. Their menu consists of cafe appetizers, bruschetta, salads, gourmet burgers, a variety of dishes and desserts. The food is artfully crafted from nice ingredients and is delicious. The multilingual staff is welcoming, attentive and cheerful. The food and drinks arrived promptly. I very much enjoyed the meal and drinks. GooglePlace - January 2018
