I have been going to Carderos for years and I love the spot. It's in a scenic location overlooking the docks so in my opinion the patio is the best spot to be if you can get a spot. The staff has always been awesome and no complaints there. I can't say the food is to die for - and given the prices, I have given them a 4. I may be little biased as seafood isn't my favourite and the majority of the menu is based on seafood. It would be nice to have a few more options for those of us who don't love it. Last night we ordered about 4 appetizers plus our dinners and desert the ribs were a little over cooked. The shrimp was not available which was a disappointment but we compromised and and it was all good otherwise. But it's really not what I come to the restaurant for... What I can say is TO DIE FOR is the Creme Brulee. It's the best I've had in Vancouver and it's a must anytime I go there. In fact I'll go have dinner there just to have it. My daughter had the brownie and as brownie connoisseurs we weren't in love with the hint of coffee in it. Maybe we missed that on the menu or we got the wrong desert - not sure. But it was good if that is what you like... The sangria is also wonderful. Expect a hefty bill when you're done your meal but overall I think it's worth it for the atmosphere and desert :) GooglePlace - August 2017

Our hostess Laura was very good to ensure we were seated quickly and our server Daniel was very energetic and knowledge about the menu. He even had some great suggestions including a platter for 2 which was amazing. Great night out. Appies main dessert and drinks for 2 $125. Good prices GooglePlace - August 2017

Location was awesome but the dinner was not great. I ordered Cornish Game Hen but the dish was set in front of me and the server said "and your chicken...I mean hen". It was clearly chicken and was dry as well. It's my fault for not complaining at the time but thought a restaurant of this caliber and price really shouldn't serve chicken in place of a hen. My wife loved her signature dish Salmon and raves about it still. GooglePlace - July 2017

Great location, great service, but the food isn't anything to write home about. The Seafood Stew special was undercooked, the wild pacific salmon was alright but I found it overpriced for the portion. Only thing that saved them was the crab cakes and mussels for appetizers. If there was more "oomph" to their menu, it would be a whole lot better. I've been a few times in the past 5 years and this time wasn't as great as the other times. Hopefully there will be something new in their menu so that their service, location, ambiance, and food can be more consistent with each other. GooglePlace - July 2017
