Tips from the Net @ Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House
The best Chicken and Waffles I've ever had. My wife's lobster Benedict was great too. The service and music was great too. GooglePlace - April 2017
We've eaten here a few times over the last few years. The service and food has always been excellent. Fantastic steaks. Even the veggies are very good. Can be very busy at peak times, and certainly isn't a quiet place but isn't overwhelming either. Live piano most evenings. Highly recommended! GooglePlace - April 2017
When asked where my favorite restaurant in the city is I often say Joe Fortes. I love seafood and there are few places that can rival it in the city.
Its atmosphere is full energetic and lively. Even though tables can be close together all the energy and noise lead to a sense of intimacy.
The food is spectacular, I have never had a bad meal here. It is on the higher end, but well worth the price tag.
If you like seafood and don't mind a loud restaurant Joe Fortes is absolutely awesome and I can't recommend it enoughGooglePlace - April 2017
While we were at the restaurant everything was pretty good. The clamp chowder is very potatoes heavy and kind of boring but all the food tasted very good. This meal was a treat for me and my fiance and I ordered the soup and a main with prawns on the side because I love seafood and variety. I wasn't expecting to finish all the food and was actually planning to take the extras home for lunch the next day. I ate around half of my main, maybe less, and was proud of myself for not eating until I was stuffed. When I opened my take home container it was half full, and it was a small one. I am very confident that I only took home around half of what I had left, I feel cheated and ripped off. This one silly thing tainted the whole experience for me, I would have eaten more food while there if I couldn't take it home.
Maybe this is tacky but this is something small for the restaurant and big for people who are spending hard earned money at this pricey restaurant.GooglePlace - February 2017
I can say now Joe Fortes Seafood restaurant is the best in Vancouver! Food is delicious, service is great, atmosphere is warm and cozy. There a guy played on the piano and it was amazing. When I was there I felt it is 1920th, gentlemen are wearing tuxedos, ladies are in long dresses. By the way, this restaurant has a nice history. I recommend you to go there and have enjoyable time!GooglePlace - February 2017

Calamari is light and flavorful, lobster mac and cheese is rich but could use more sauce, garlic mashed dry. They don't give bday cake out anymore. Ask for table in bar area for people watching :)Foursquare - October 2011
