Make sure you make reservations because they fill up quick (even on a Wednesday). Service was fantastic thanks to Johnny D and Nelson! For starters, I shared the crab cake and it was yummy! They also give bread with a lobster oil and balsamic vinegar dip which tastes DELICIOUS! I had the albacore tuna with roasted veggies on the side and the dish was decent. I had a salmon dish last time which was juicy it was wonderful! GooglePlace - August 2017

Quality seafood, fantastic environment, service mostly outstanding. $1 oysters and $6 wine for happy hour. Been there a few times, but have to comment about the service during happy hour, the quality of service is not so pleasant. The server who took our orders didn't seem to be willing to enhance our dining experience. Very disappointed at the waiters attitude. GooglePlace - August 2017

This restaurant has great decor, atmosphere and service! I visited this restaurant twice. The first time, I enjoyed myself, but left feeling over-billed for what I ate (appetizer and pasta dish). The second time, I came for a seafood dinner. The two appetizers were fantastic (fried oysters and calamari), but our two, shared main dishes were not what I expected. The prawn/halibut/salmon special was mediocre, while the half-lobster added to my mediocre steak was horrible. I was excited to introduce lobster for the first time to my guest, but it was partially mush and totally turned us both off. I don't know if he will ever order another, but I will, because I've had so much better. Paying $195 before tip for this meal, that included three beers, was a reminder for me to go elsewhere next time. GooglePlace - July 2017

Joe Fortes is such a beautiful place. Inside it looks so classical, vintage and elegant. The patio at the top was so beautiful as well, and this is where we sat. I enjoyed my white wine sangria, however it wasn't as flavourful as I would have liked it to be. Also, our server was not the best. She gave us the wrong drinks, was not very friendly and generally had a poor attitude. If I would ask her a question about something on the menu, her tone of voice made it sound like I was stupid for asking. However, that was just one experience with a server. The place inside looks beautiful, and the rest of the items we ordered did taste very good. GooglePlace - June 2017

By far one of the best dining experiences I've had! Our steward, Jake, was attentive, great conversationalist, excellent source of knowledge and really made the entire dining experience. The food was almost perfect. I would have liked my steak a bit more rare but it was great quality, the truffle fries was great and the fried pickles... Well I'll never find such good pickles. The seafood was fresh, steak aged right and the wine paring was perfect thanks to Jake. It is expensive, very expensive, but you get what you pay for. I'd recommend reservations, i overhead there was a multi hour wait to get in. GooglePlace - June 2017
