Tips from the Net @ Kyo Korean BBQ & Sushi

This place used to be one of my favorites for friends gathering, but our experience this time was strange. The restaurant wasn't that busy as there were many empty tables, but the waiter never came. We had to go find him to give him our order, walk over to the counter with the empty pitcher to ask them to get water for us, and waved for more than five minutes for any type of service. At least the food is good as usual. I really hope this place can get it back together. The service used to be good even when it was much busier. GooglePlace - January 2018

Wide variety of options. Everything from aburi sushi to big selection of cooked items. Servers tend to bring over incorrect items and miss orders. Food is fresh which is important for the raw BBQ meats. Still a recommend considering there aren't that many good AYCE establishments left in Vancouver. GooglePlace - January 2018

I've been to Kyo for all you can eat dinner twice. The meats are seasoned decently and are quite pleasant for meat lovers. However, the sushi is a bit below average, which is expected for AYCE, quantity over quality. Nevertheless, the nigiri and some rolls just had too much rice, and rice fills you up quickly. Finally, I found the service to be lackluster. We sometimes had to ask twice for them to do something, however I do think that some of the staff are kind, regardless of their service. Overall, Kyo is an alright option for gatherings, but in my opinion, a bit overpriced for what it offers. GooglePlace - January 2018

Do not order all you can eat. While I have always enjoyed the food here, they consistently will not serve you what you order for all you can eat. It does not matter how many orders of meat you order, you will be given the same amount. On one visit with a group of 6 we ordered 1 order of beef for Round 1, along with various other dishes. For Round 2 we ordered 2 orders of beef because we enjoyed it so much. But we were served the same amount as Round 1. We thought they may have made a mistake, so we ordered 4 orders of beef for Round 3. But we were served the same amount again. This has happened on multiple occasions. This place is not truly all you can eat. GooglePlace - November 2017

Love to come here for MEAT dinner. Great quality beef short ribs and spicy lamb. Our server was also really great she was very friendly and super helpful when we had questions about dishes, especial all the famous rolls. There is not description about famous rolls and some of the sushi. Parts of the dish's names are Japanese. However, the dessert wasn’t that great, still the overall it was a great meal. It is little bit pricey but it is very well worth it, coz meat prices have been going up much more quickly than others in B.C. GooglePlace - October 2017
