I thought Dine Out Vancouver 2018 would be a good way to visit this restaurant without committing to buying a $200 dinner.. was I wrong. For every meal there were 3 options. Usually 2 out of the 3 options were more expensive. For the two dinners, no drinks, no coffee I paid $138 when Dine out Vancouver advertises $40 meals. Next year I am going to try Bridges or Black and Blue or somewhere equally as upscale and picturesque but at least they have more then 3 options for each course and each option is included in the advertised $40 meal. I gave this place 5 stars because I've had a perfect experience every time I have eaten here. These picture are from Dine Out, however, and do not represent them at their very best. If you attended their Dine Out event, however, it may surprise you that they can be even better. I had a Golden Milk to start, and then the Mushroom Veloute. It was beautiful and I would love to have it again. The truffle pizza was delicious but the portion was a bit large for me, even though I can usually pack in a lot of food! The dessert was a chocolate peanut butter bar, and I thought it was the perfect portion size. The server told us that on their regular (non-Dine Out) menu, it is twice the size and included a scoop of ice cream. Crazy! Wonderful. Very warm and attentive service from the whole staff. I had the breakfast as part of my stay at the hotel. Food is great - and it’s buffet served a la carte. The French toast with roasted apples was the best I’ve ever had. Crunchy exterior with a caramelized sugar chunks and a very fluffy interior. Amazing dinner, the lamb was perfectly cooked. The celeriac soup is also an awesome dish. Many different flavors at play. Desert was decedent and the service was impeccable. Usually I shy away from fine dining restaurants such as this to due the pretentious nature of them, however everything was done properly at Market by Jean-Georges. I highly recommend a visit.
