Fresh Bread and Great Coffee. Its as simple as that. Or at least it should, if you have the same romantic visions of how bread and coffee should be done as we do.

I had heard mostly good things about Nelson the Seagull and finally wanted to check it out yesterday (Sept 3rd, 2017). However I was really really disappointed. I ordered something quiet simple, Chocolate Sour Dough Toast & Iced Earl Grey Tea. The sour dough took over 15 mins to come (at which point my friends were done with their food), but then it was not the right thing I ordered, meanwhile my drink took 20 mins to come. In addition, the drink was not good whatsoever, and the toast was really dry. Unless you want to pay $5 for a croissant and $6 for a latte, and potentially have dry food I wouldn't recommend it. Nice place with large tables. Seems like a good place to do some work or grab a quick coffee. GooglePlace - August 2017

Awesome coffee and freshly baked food, set in a distinctive and partially restored interior. Great atmosphere! Foursquare - August 2017

Bread is excellent, food is good (menu is set and does not change, soup is always the same), customer service is not great GooglePlace - August 2017

Gave them a star because the food looks good in picture. The sandwich is dry, bread is not freshly toasted. The crust is too thick and hard. The end result is too tough to bite in. Salad is simple, dry and no dressing. Walnuts have aged oil taste. Apparently no good to health. The environment both inside and outside is bad. I don't think they clean the table or swipe the floor regularly and attract flies flying happily over the place. GooglePlace - August 2017
