Welcome to Nightingale where modern Canadian cuisine gets social. Our approach to dining introduces simple seasonal dishes — packed with natural flavour — that focus on quality, excellence and fun. Served up in a lively space, our fresh crudo and charcuterie, creative house-made pastas, pizzas, crisp salads and seasonal veggie dishes can be enjoyed with friends old and new; paired with local craft beers, complementing wines or on-tap gin & tonics from the buzzing bar. Nightingale’s name is inspired by Aesop’s Fable of the Hawk & the Nightingale, which tells the story of a hungry hawk who chooses to keep his tiny nightingale instead of waiting for a bigger bird to come along: it gives us the proverb ‘A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush’. Join us in celebrating the here and now at Nightingale.

My husband and I came to Nightingale for an anniversary dinner and were impressed with all aspects of our experience. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, the space is huge with a different feel upstairs and downstairs, and the menu has options for every kind of diner. We shared 6 different dishes from the menu plus 2 desserts and left extremely full and satisfied. I personally really appreciated the amount of veggie dishes on the menu! If you like restaurant kitchens, this is one to check out! Great experience and looking forward to going back. GooglePlace - April 2018

Food was really good, especially the pizza. There's a good upbeat energy and the decor is cool. The food came out sporadically which hurt the flow as we got several plates to share (per waitress' recommendation). GooglePlace - March 2018

Delicious! Pork belly was the highlight! Ceviche, brussel sprouts, and pork chops were amazing as well. Enjoyed the bramble and willoughby cocktails respectively. Foursquare - March 2018

Great decor which is what the 2 stars are for. Sadly that's where it ends. We ordered the steak, cauliflower dish and the duck pasta dish. The steak was on the tougher side with a word after taste, the duck pasta dish was like eating hamburger helper made with duck instead of hamburger and the cauliflower we were advised by the waitress to order and we weren't sad we did. Hands down the best part of the meal. We spent a bit more than $100 for food and a glass of wine each, so the price wasn't bad, but the food was horrible. Won't ever eat the again and don't recommend. GooglePlace - February 2018

One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The tapas were all amazing and the waiter we had was very friendly and great with suggesting order numbers and plate sizes. The food was fantastic and well worth the price. You have to do yourself a favour and try this place. I have never had a sunchoke so good, potatoes made so well, or breaded cheese so nice. As someone who loves sharing at restaurants it was an exceptional experience and I can't recommend it enough. GooglePlace - February 2018
