Description

With a luxurious and contemporary design inspired by the romance of travel in the 1930’s, Notch8 Restaurant & Bar brings a new era of glamour to the lobby of Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. Notch8 features West Coast cuisine, with many dishes representing the westward journey across Canada. Behind the bar, vibrant cocktails made popular during pre and post prohibition times are being shaken up with local bitters. Be part of the journey of Notch8 – catch up with friends at breakfast, close that deal during a business lunch, unwind at happy hour, and reconnect with loved ones over an intimate dinner or Afternoon Tea.

Great breakfast. The berry bomb smoothie is awesome. Had the blueberry pancakes they were exceptional. Service was very attentive like you would expect from the fairmont. Overall very satisfied! Thanks for the hospitality!! GooglePlace - July 2017

One of the best breakfast experiences I've had! While staying at the hotel, we had the breakfast buffet several times - which is amazing. But we also splurged on the Dungeness Crab Benedict - which is truly legendary. It melts in your mouth - and is simply unforgettable. GooglePlace - July 2017

Loved seeing Notch8 participate in Comox Valley's BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival this year! The chefs are incredibly talented and their food is top notch -- pun intended GooglePlace - July 2017

Canada 150 high tea one the best in town. Unique , themed . Better than TWG and other high tea rooms downtown for the set tea. Higher $$ than others but worth it. Limited tea menu but good selections. Size of the savouries were not 'dainty' but most substantial. Creative and tasty! GooglePlace - June 2017

April 5 2017. Cold wet day. Stopped to warm up. Great place . Chris, our waiter, was lovely. We enjoyed the notch8 shareable bread that was outstanding. Never had anything like it..a loaf with aged cheese on top, easy to tear apart and expose the inside filled with granular mustard and butter. Also the soup of the the day with prawns and angel hair in a creamy Thai soup was simply the best. Reasonable prices given the beautifully appointed restaurant. GooglePlace - April 2017
