With a luxurious and contemporary design inspired by the romance of travel in the 1930’s, Notch8 Restaurant & Bar brings a new era of glamour to the lobby of Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Named after a train’s top speed, achieved only by the most skilled conductors, the restaurant pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific railway. Notch8 features West Coast cuisine, with many dishes representing the westward journey across Canada. Behind the bar, vibrant cocktails made popular during pre and post prohibition times are being shaken up with local bitters. Be part of the journey of Notch8 – catch up with friends at breakfast, close that deal during a business lunch, unwind at happy hour, and reconnect with loved ones over an intimate dinner or Afternoon Tea.

Nice ambiance. Service was a bit odd and cocktails were a bit one note. Convenient if you're staying in the hotel. GooglePlace - October 2017

Nice drinks .. food wasn't exciting but acceptable. Thought I would get better. For a hotel bar it was good. GooglePlace - September 2017

I mean WOW. We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Notch 8 and I was beyond impressed. The chef has such a mastery of how to use unique ingredients and incorporate a pleasantly surprising range of textures and flavors. Top five meals I've had in Vancouver and we've tried a few "high end", specialty chef spots. Highly recommend the elk. GooglePlace - September 2017

Great breakfast. The berry bomb smoothie is awesome. Had the blueberry pancakes they were exceptional. Service was very attentive like you would expect from the fairmont. Overall very satisfied! Thanks for the hospitality!! GooglePlace - July 2017

Canada 150 high tea one the best in town. Unique , themed . Better than TWG and other high tea rooms downtown for the set tea. Higher $$ than others but worth it. Limited tea menu but good selections. Size of the savouries were not 'dainty' but most substantial. Creative and tasty! GooglePlace - June 2017
