Like a sports bar, only with less sports and more nerds. Board and card games, tons of sci-fi and fantasy memorabilia, classic 50's creature features on the big screen, delicious dishes and a half dozen local microbrews on tap. Plus one mother of a giant Cthulhu sculpture. Winner of various awards, including the Georgia Straight's Golden Plate 2017 prizes for Best Restaurant for a Rainy Day and Best Pub, and Vancouver Foodster's Best Poutine. Also the sole Canadian establishment featured in Lonely Planet's 50 Bars to Blow Your Mind! (Reservations available only for 'Le Table Grande' in the back, which seats a maximum of 12 or so. I feel like these guys have gone a bit downhill since I first started going there. The menu seems to have shrunk and service wasn't through the roof like I'm used to. Although the food selection is limited it is very delicious! I just think the owner has invested more time and money into the alehouse instead. GooglePlace - April 2018

Great place to spend time with friends, and play the games you like. The service is good, and the quality of food is above average. It's mostly about the nice atmosphere, and wide variety of board games to play. There are usually line ups, but they will call you when the table is ready, which is super convenient. The food is standard pub fare, but the drinks are really where they shine! All geeky, all good. For some random excitement, try rolling the d20 for a random shot! Foursquare - March 2018

Great experience. We picked a game off the shelf and had a great time over drinks playing it. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended if you are looking for a night out with friends GooglePlace - March 2018

The menu isn't as extensive as we had hoped. It's lots of usual pub food with nerd culture references. The chickpea fries were really good. I had the Dungeon Burger which was super fun to create by rolling a 20 sided die. The atmosphere was great, service was great. Our waitress had a fantastic memory. I would definitely recommend.
