View was amazing, waiter was great, food was below average at best. The $55 steak (cheapest cut they could find I assume) and shrimp (more like salt with a little bit of shrimp) we're not good and I couldn't eat the salt and shrimp. The $110 steak (see above) and lobster (covered in cheese and baked like a grill cheese?) we're not worth $50.00 let alone $110! DO NOT go for the food, stick to a cheap appy and drinks, enjoy the view and then go elsewhere for your main course. GooglePlace - September 2017

View was spectacular. Waitress below average, her uniform was dirty, she was disinterested in providing anything but the most basic service. I have a food allergy which meant I basically had to go vegetarian but there wasn't a vegetarian choice on the menu. Our waitress reluctantly told us there was a vegetarian choice but it wasn't on the menu because the restaurant was a meat and seafood restaurant! (I am allergic to chicken and they even put chicken broth in the pasta tomato sauce!) The sauce for the lamb even had chicken broth in it! For a "high end" restaurant I would expect the chef to have enough pride in his work to make the appropriate stocks/broths for each dish. My dessert came complete with a spider leg, all 3 sections of it. The chef said it was part of the shrubbery! Only food should be on plates! Would I go back when we return in April? No. GooglePlace - August 2017

My wife Miriam and myself went by yesterday around 4pm for appetizers and drinks . Although the view is spectacular nothing else was. I had the Lobster Bisque and Caesar Wedge Salad, the Bisque was more of a broth and there was not much Lobster flavor to it, the Salad lacked dressing and it took 15 minutes for the server to come around for me to get a bit more for the salad. Miriam had the Cream of Mushroom soup and the stuffed mushrooms. The soup was better then the bisque but the stuffed mushrooms were very disappointing as they were to have Seafood as part of the stuffing but it was more breadcrumbs. The bill came to $100.00 for basically soup and salad, very poor meal and the service was really bad, could have had a better meal for 1/2 the cost anywhere in Gastown. GooglePlace - August 2017

I use to come to this restaurant all the time back in early 2000's, and the service and management was excellent. I've been there a few times in recent years and was there last week. I must say the service is poor and the waiters are rude. They don't care about leaving you sitting there with no service, we waited 15 minutes for someone to even come take our drink order. When I asked to see the manager, I was told he wasn't available. Is there even a manager here anymore? The place is poorly managed and the food is terrible. I ordered the steak and it tasted like something I could of ordered at the pub and it wasn't even medium rare like I asked for. I think they need to get new management in the top of Vancouver before I will be returning there. Poor service and poor management, will not be recommending this place to anyone EVER again. Hands down, my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. Lived here all my life, been to plenty of restaurants and I have yet to encounter a restaurant that matches up to the Revolving Restaurant. Phenomenal food, great service, fair prices considering the experience, AMAZING views... 100% recommend. You not only get a meal, you get an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. Buy wine while you're here, because they have a vast selection and very knowledgeable servers. The prices are higher than normal restaurants, but worth it. It's nothing drastic. We got a large steak dinner, salmon dinner, stuffed mushrooms appetizer, tiramisu and a middle range bottle of wine. After tax and tip, it came to $275 CAD. It's not bad considering the quality of the food, the top-notch service and the spectacular views. LIFE PRO TIP: Book your reservation about 45 minutes to 1 hour before sunset. You can Google what time sunset is. GooglePlace - July 2017
