The place smells like a toilet, there are flies everywhere. the food was pretty lame tasting but worse than that, we both spent the following night puking. And if you decide to go anyway, be very careful when you order. The prices on the menu are per 100 grams. And they dont ask you how much you want. Tourist trap is the nicest thing I can say about it.

We were very warmly received at this trattoria. We ordered for three a pizza a black ink squid past and a sea food pasta. The last two were chosen from their plat du jour list. It was all utterly delicious. Had also white wine. And their cheescake with red fruits is the best desert i ever had. I highly recomend this place

Beware! Tourist trap! Deceiving advertising on front menu!! As most tourist, we're used to check the menu by the front of the restaurant to check prices and food options. Dallo Zio Restaurant had yesterday a handwritten black board with "Special of the Day" as 9 Euros for seafood spaghetti- including lobster; yes- a good deal we thought- as many that are available for tourist; when received the check, we were charged 36 Euros!! FOUR times more than what we were told! The manager or owner's answer is that the charge by the weight of the lobster!! which we'd understand IF we were told that it goes by weight!! Bottom line, it's a trap, very tricky and deceiving way to do business !! It's our 3rd time in Venice and never had/been charged such ridiculous amount of money for and seafood pasta that it was about average! Hope the Venice tourist bureau do something about that...

The so-called daily special is only available on a blackboard in smudged chalk writing in Italian.
As we asked for the waiter for recommendations, he recommends seafood pasta to you from the board but never explains it is priced by 100g!
No body actually tells you or confirms with you the weight of your priced-by-weight ordering until you have the bill!
Seafood does not feel fresh, but been frozen for a long time.
And by the way, they charge for every pack of breadsticks you open. Each pack has only 2 or 3 in it, but they give you a lot!
