Tips from the Net @ Hosteria da Poggi

Looks nice, this is deceiving. Waited ages to get drinks and then longer for food order to be taken. We were then told they only had about 4 things in the menu- so had to reorder. Food was disgusting and took ages to come. Literally looked and tasted like cheap packet sauce from a supermarket. We ordered 3 different fish dishes only to be served exactly the same. Just 2 greasy bits of fish on a plate. No veg, salad nothing. I would not recommend this place, don’t waste your money or time. GooglePlace - October 2017

Don’t bother! were given menus, only to be told 15 mins later whilst trying to order that 3/4 of what was offered on the menu was not available (perhaps customers should be informed that maybe??). We were then bought three of the same fish dishes (having ordered three different ones), and the food was average at best, finding that as I walked past the kitchen the sauces came from standard supermarket jars and the pasta much the same (packet). Half the plates were cleared at the end, I ended up stacking the rest, and the funniest bit, a big sign on the window saying about how they are not on trip advisor and not to review etc etc, ha! Only cos they are aware of the fact their standards and customer service are so sub par they want to make sure no one says anything! Joke! Get yourself a 2 Euro slice of pizza from a street stall, you’ll be infinitely happier! GooglePlace - October 2017

Excellent Food, would highly recommend eating here. It seems more locals eat here than tourists which to me is always a good sign xx GooglePlace - February 2017

Great place to eat if you've had a lobotomy and you have lost all awareness of your surroundings. The food is disappointing therefore there's no excuse to endure the eztremely rude and incompetent staff who will without a doubt treat you like garbage if you aren't Italian. Avoid this place like the plague GooglePlace - February 2017
