La Caravella is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Venice, opened in 1963. The restaurant is well-known for its excellent cuisine and service, but also for the unique nautical style of its décor, which evokes the vessels used by Christopher Columbus. In summer the service moves outdoors to the flower-filled Venetian courtyard, with original Venetian wells. The restaurant serves typical Venetian cuisine, with fish specialities and a great wines selection.

It's not cheap but the food was really great and the service is fantastic. GooglePlace - September 2017

Recommended by Michelin guide. Overpriced. Delicious deserts but nothing too special. Tried tiramisu, semifredo, lemon compote. Risotto with lobster sauce delicious but not worth its price Foursquare - August 2017

We had only drinks here, but we enjoyed the best Aperol spritz and Mojitos in town. Great and friendly, but highly professional service by Olga, Deborah and Roberta. Recommended! GooglePlace - August 2017

Very good coffee and friendly staff. We come here on a daily basis and can't say a bad thing about them. Keep it up! GooglePlace - July 2017

I wanted to like this place, but it was very disappointing. The food was bland, and not prepared to a standard I would expect for £40 for a main course. I have happily spent more than that in two other restaurants in the past few days, but this experience left me cold. The service was professional but the sort of stuffy, formal service that is more about the presentation than taking care of the guest, and ultimately leaves one feeling uncomfortable. I love a good leisurely meal but didn't order dessert and couldn't wait to leave. GooglePlace - July 2017
