Looks careless, smells unpleasant (smoking is allowed), not all dishes from menu are available, they barely understand a few words in English. Portions are big and affordable though, that explains the high rating other people offerd. GooglePlace - February 2018

The food is great. The services is not the fastest but it is certainly very kind and attentive. The wait for food on the table is well worth the time. It is authentic Vienna Food. Hard to beat. I will go back every time I could. Order entres or a Goulash soup for starters, good wine and be patient for the specialties. Enjoy the authentic Vienna atmosphere while you wait. If you are in a hurry try elsewhere. This is ideal for a relaxed dinner. No hurries. No rushes. A real must of you are wandering around Central Vienna. GooglePlace - December 2017

First, the good stuff: this place has an interesting and eclectic interior, their servings are massive, and the food is good. All for a very reasonable price. We left the place being absolutely full, and having spent less than 30 euros. But. The service is TERRIBLE. Like, there is only one waitress, we were served almost an hour after we ordered. Nobody else was waiting for food before us, either, and the place is quite small, maybe there were 20 other people in the restaurant. Just took forever. On top of that, the waitress after fifteen minutes from our order came asking for some clarification on a "one soup, two schnitzel, two beers" order which she should have asked earlier. Another twenty minutes later she tells us there's no soup either — nobody had any in the meantime, she simply had no clue it was already over when we ordered. Then there's the whole thing of the smoking indoors which I find ludicrous. This is a smoking restaurant, which in 2017 is a notion whose very existence baffles me, but in Austria and Germany it's a sadly normal thing. The crazy thing is that the waitress brings food while smoking (!). The place has a low ceiling and literally no air cleaning system, either. Recipe for disaster. Unfortunately it was all but impossibile to find a spot in a restaurant that was serving Austrian food and was no-smoking, otherwise we'd have left as soon as we got in. All in all, the food is good and at a good value for money, but you pay for it with the disgusting feeling of passive smoke and with an insanely long wait. GooglePlace - December 2017

The food was very well prepared, in very large portions and relatively cheap. The place offers a wide selection of traditional Austrian dishes, which go well beyond the omnipresent schnitzel (which you can also find here in many variations). However I found disappointing that in this day and age, in the centre of a large capital city there still are places which do not accept payment by card and which allow smoking inside without any separation from non smoking areas or even any ventilation at all! I had to walk 15 minutes in the rain to get some cash and went back home smelling like a coal plant. GooglePlace - November 2017

Fantastic food!! HUGE portions. Great service! Such a nice and typical, classic restaurant in Vienna! Wish we could extend our holiday so we can go back again. GooglePlace - August 2017
