Besuchen Sie uns bald! We took metro and bus up here after reading the fantastic reviews of Figls, and it was well worth the trip. Sitting at the bar is the way to go for couples, and the service is extraordinarily friendly. I started my dinner with a spritz, and my husband enjoyed a couple of craft beers from their small but quality selection. I tried a couple of other Austrian wines over the course of dinner, and was impressed with them. The bartender gave great recommendations and provided generous sample pours to help me decide. My husband ordered the ribs and I had (of course) the wiener schnitzel. It has to be the hugest piece of fried meat I’ve ever seen, and I ate every bit of it. It was a nearly overwhelming quantity of food, but it was so perfectly prepared that I couldn’t resist. I made a decent dent in my potatoes, but the schnitzel was the priority. Then, after all that, our charming bartendress talked us into dessert. That, too, did not disappoint. It was a special Christmastime dessert with all kinds of tasty delights, including eggnog ice cream and a Christmas cookie pastry. After 3 drinks apiece, two entrees, and dessert, we walked out for about 75 Euros ($90 US). While a bit expensive, the food, service, and atmosphere were more than worth it. I’ll definitely go back when I find myself in Vienna again, and hopefully enjoy the outdoor space on a lovely summer evening. GooglePlace - December 2017

For me, the best schnitzel in Vienna. Opened by the new generation of the owners of famous Figlmuller, the most famous schnitzel house of Vienna. But for me this new place if much cosier and trendier at the same time. Also, in the old days Figlmuller was doing schnitzel only from pork (maybe changed now) however the original Viennese schnitzel has to be from veal (kalb in German). Figl's offer both so you can chose schnitzel of Viennese schnitzel here :) Theyvhave great wine selection too. They even have their own wine-yard in their back-yard and produce their house wine. Blaufrankisch is the grape I strongly recommend. If you are lucky to be there at the harvest season, you can get the first stage of wine called sturm. In hat season you findbit also all around Vienna. Just try it. GooglePlace - December 2017
