Hawidere is a bit of a local institution in the area ( in Vienna?) and I have been there before it turned "fancy" and craft beer wasn't a thing yet. For me... I'm somewhere on the fence with this one. +Craft beer, good stuff, extensive menu, wide tap selection, changing taps, beer tasting offers, everything a good craft beer pub should offer - the craft beer is a bit expensive considering that the shabby chic student pub interior has not been changed since at least 2009 + Great vegetarian choices, the non burger meals are good ( in my memory) and definitely not overpriced - just like the craft beer, the burger prices are the same as in any fancy hipster burger joint in Vienna; personally I thought the meat was terribly dry and I feel conflicted about the flat bread bun, the beer burger sauce is delicious, the portion size is big + The staff was nice and friendly; in February 2018 I didn't notice a smoking area, they might have changed it from older comments All in all, not a bad place but definitely not everybody's cup of tea. Burgers and beer selection were quite amazing... small, cosy, with a great service. GooglePlace - February 2018

Great selection of drinks and fantastic burgers, I think the cheesey cheese burger was too much for me though, I'll make sure to fast for a day before going again. GooglePlace - January 2018

Austrian spin on the American burger, but very well deserving! The burgers are BIG, and the menu suggests a different beer for each burger. I got the blue cheese and loved it, one of the best blue cheese burgers of my life. The matching beer (Kriek Mariage Parfait) was also really interesting, deep ruby/purple color, brewed with cherries. Expect this place to be busy and loud—it is a beer house after all—and the bun of the burger to be more… Germanic. GooglePlace - December 2017
