It must have been a great place, but has lost its prestige since then. Room is beautiful, but breakfast was below average. Stale industrial bread, awful "croissants" (can't even call these as such!), very limited quantities of butter and jam, low quality meat and cheese. Very disappointing GooglePlace - January 2018

A place worth visiting. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was very good, and the decor was interesting to take in. GooglePlace - December 2017

What an appalling attitude shown by the middle-aged bespectacled waiter. The sign at the entrance invites you to find an empty table. We sat at a table by the window that had been vacated by guests. Then the waiter proceeded to shout at us from across the room and in front of other guests, until we took another table. He then decided to clear the table before taking our order. The table by the window was not occupied for the entire time we were in the cafe. I agree that the interior is stunning and the hot chocolate delicious, but as for the service we had, I cannot recommend Cafe Schwarzenberg to tourists. A Christmas Day experience that we will remember for the wrong reasons. GooglePlace - December 2017

Cozy old style Viennese coffee house, with traditional cakes and food. The goulash soup is worth trying, as it comes with a healthy dose of paprika. A reasonable range of teas too. GooglePlace - December 2017

Avoid at all costs. Restaurant was cozy but service was HORRIBLE. Ruined our first dinner at Vienna. Slow at attending the table. One waiter with mustache was so strange: came to take our order, but before we could say anything he turned away impatiently. During the meal, we wanted to order some additional stuff but none of the waiters stopped at our table. When we got the bill, they’ve added something we didn’t order. When we questioned that earlier mentioned waiter, he didn’t apologize at all. They also charged one euro for a little tube of Mayo, and THE MOST EPIC PART was, he asked to add our tips to the bill while we were paying by card . We said no, and he said, oh it will come in cash then. We of course did not leave any tips for service like this. He then commented on our way out, thank you for the huge tip! SO RUDE!
