Absolutely delicious top rated Austrian beef dishes. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. English speaking staffs to help you navigating eating special local dishes. Bravo! GooglePlace - May 2017

Horribly snobby place, and quite tasteless, but very efficient posh fast-food atmosphere at that. As a local, I don't think this place is typical at all. The Tafelspitz, traditional Viennese boiled beef, is ok and is the reason why everyone is coming here. The experience of the dish in itself is fun, but don't expect any gastronomic highlights. You can choose from over a dozen different cuts of beef for your Tafelspitz though! The restaurant is kind of a landmark, thus flooded with tourists. The owners know, that whatever they do, people will continue to show up because they are so famous. Indeed, each and every tour guide or book about Vienna tells you to come here. The interior has a rather cheap rustic "countryside-comes-to-town" feel to it, where you would expect dirndls and other folklore to show up. All in all not very Viennese. GooglePlace - May 2017

We were told that we had to sit on the terrace without a reservation. Even though it was heated it was rather cold there and service was quite slow (but very friendly!), probably due to understaffing. Food was good, but suffered from the outside temperature. GooglePlace - May 2017

The one star goes to the service in general. Even at 4 pm on a Saturday, the place is rather busy and the flow of the orders does not work as it should. I ordered an asparagus soup, prawns and a bottle of red wine, water, desert and expresso. All over 75€ just for me. The soup came but I had to beg for the wine and water. Even before finishing my soup the prawns arrived. The water its dumped them on the table. I complained to no avail. Had to wait 10 min for someone to collect the soup plate. The food was actually very good but the hole experience was very poor and I regretted spending all that money plus almost 1 and a half hour on what could be a very good meal. GooglePlace - April 2017

Very Austrian! Told to try this place by the bike tour guide. Boiled beef? Didn't sound so great...but was super delicious! Broth flavorful without being too salty, vegetables cooked to be tender but no more, fried potatoes were a surprising delight! The beed portion was generous and tender with a great display.
